Description of the Modification
-------------------------------

"People have a habit of falling just a little short of they shoot for.
But, if you shoot for perfection, but fall just a little short,
then you're still okay, aren't you?"
	- Stan McGill, South Garland High
		School Choral Director, 1992

This shipset is my soapbox--it's my proof that a professional-level
shipset CAN be produced, with no compromises in quality for the sake
of expedience. I *hate* it when a mission builder decides he doesn't
feel like including a breifing or bothering with .ACT placement or
just obviously doesn't want to go through the bother of really MAKING
custom missions. And so, before X-Wing Allaince arrives and XvT becomes
a forgotten game, I decided to demonstrate that it CAN be done
properly. And that there's no excuse for doing less.

This shipset replaces several fighters and a few capital ships with
completely new ones, modeled by some of the greatest .OPT artists
in the racket, new stats for these ships, a whopping 60 new missions
to fly (if you include the two multiplayer missions), new custom
voices, full text and animated briefings, and even a few new movies.

Availability
------------

As of the shipset's release on Saturday, March 6, 1999, the shipset
is available at a dedicated website at http://draegos.dynu.com/path

I've also set up an FTP account on my server for the most direct
route to it. FTP to draegos.dynu.com and use username "path" to
get access to all shipset files and the launcher.

The shipset files themselves were originally hosted at Datamaster's Website
(datamaster.gamesnet.net -- RIP). The full, single 15-meg file version was
hosted by the generous Peter "Mad Dog" Rowney (since moved on from the
X-Wing community). These people offered a rather large amount of web space
just so players can get this shipset more easily. I earnestly thank them for
their generosity.

Please note that the draegos.dynu.com website is hosted off my personal
web server. It has a habit of going down every few weeks; if you can't reach
it, wait a day or two and try again. It will be back.

Please also note that there is an old PNT website at
http://pathnottaken.freeserves.com -- this site is old and the file links on
it haven't worked in four years. The only reason it's still there is because
Freeservers won't let me log in and take it down. Please use the
http://draegos.dynu.com/path website; it is the current one.

Files Included In the Zip
-------------------------
Too numerous to even attempt to list. Let's just say there are
enough BMPs, .TIE files, waves, .LSTs, and .TXT files packed into
this little GOB to make your head spin really fast.
